Craig Gray’s Iron Horse is an abstracted yet instantly recognizable representation of the equine form, a subject popular with artists throughout history. Despite its immense size and rigid steel frame, the sculpture projects a playful vibe as it welcomes visitors to North Laurel Community Center and Park.
Adding a healthy dose of fun and whimsy to each of his outdoor sculptures, Gray creates works that can easily be appreciated by viewers of all ages and backgrounds. His goal as an artist is “to warm the creative soul and bring happiness to the heart.” Gray has been fashioning imaginative sculptures for more than 25 years. His work has been included in three previous ARTsites exhibits.
ARTsites 2019 sculptures will be on display through July 2020. Stop by the Center for the Arts to pick up a copy of our ARTsites 2019 brochure or call 410-313-ARTS (2787) to request one.
