The Arts Council (HCAC) offers Visual and Performing Arts Summer Camps at the Howard County Center for the Arts in Ellicott City. Camps are open to the public, regardless of residency in Howard County, for students entering grades K-7. Camps run in one-week sessions; campers are grouped by age and may enroll for a full-day or half-day. Extended care is also available. The Arts Council offers ongoing drop-in painting and drawing sessions at the Howard County Center for the Arts, providing an opportunity for artists of all skill levels to sharpen their portrait and figure drawing/painting skills while working from a live model. Watercolor sessions, to which artists are invited to bring their own still life set-up or other artistic inspiration, are also available.
