Columbia Pro Cantare will present “A Celebration of John Rutter,” Sunday, March 16, 2025, 4 pm, in the beautiful sanctuary of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3604 Chatham Road, Ellicott City. The concert will feature the Gloria of renowned English composer, conductor and arranger Sir John Rutter, who recently celebrated his 80th birthday. In addition to the Gloria, performed with brass and organ, and Rutter’s “The Lord Bless You,” the program will include works by Z. Randall Stroope, Ralph Vaughn Williams, Andre J. Thomas, Thomas Tallis and others. The chorus and the CPC Chamber Singers are under the direction of Laura Lee Fischer, CPC artistic director.
