Ballet Mobile is Howard County’s charitable “bookmobile of dance”, bringing inspirational ballet to people who otherwise would not be able to enjoy or experience it. Movement, music, and mental imagery are woven into beautiful, tailored programs that touch the heart and lift the spirits. Directed by Renée Meyer, Ballet Mobile’s all-volunteer group makes house calls, not curtain calls, to non-traditional performance venues throughout Maryland. Ballet Mobile also offers specialized classes to improve seniors’ balance, memory, and well-being, partners with Atholton High School’s Work Enclave, and has an Education Division called Atelier de Ballet Classique.
