“Dragonfly” by Kirk Seese at Howard County Public School System Administration Building (HoCo Arts)
C-Birds by Bobby Donovan is about duality. It addresses the idea of component parts working together as a symbolic whole. To create a visual metaphor for this, Donovan has chosen two distinct entities; seabirds and the oceans they depend on. To emphasize their interdependency both are represented by the same shape – a flattened u-shaped contour. C-Birds is installed at COPT Defense Properties located at 6731 Columbia Gateway Dr in Columbia.
Moon Beacon by Bobby Donovan is inspired by the ancient navigational towers built by the sea. Whether a once-grand lighthouse or a simple stone cairn, these enduring structures evoke a powerful sense of animism – just as the moon itself, a timeless watcher, guides us along our way. Moon Beacon is installed at Savage Mill located at 8600 Foundry St. in Savage.
ARTsites 2025 will be on display through July 2026. Complete list of sculptures and site locations are here.
Katz combines colored geometric and organic elements to create compositions that convey the kinetic energy implied in his work. He uses the abstract manipulation of form and shape in space to create visual balance, rhythm, action and movement. Through the creative process a hierarchy of elements become symbols for ideas that are a tribute to the transcendental and transcendent experiences inherent in life’s journey. Twister is installed at the Columbia Association’s Slayton House in Columbia.
ARTsites liberates sculpture from the constraints of a gallery and place it in outdoor public spaces for all to enjoy. ARTsites 2025 sculptures were installed in August and remain in place through July 2026. More complete information is here.

ARTsites Up Close:
Metamorphosis by Hanna Jubran
Metamorphosis is a sculpture that represents a transformative process, where a circle and a cube undergo physical changes and develop within the structure, experiencing both growth and abrupt changes. The artist blends geometric and organic forms, encouraging viewers to reflect and gradually uncover the sculpture’s deeper meaning. This work is an expression of universal themes of life and the beginning of time.
Space Time by Hanna Jubran
Space Time continuum is a mathematical model that unifies space and time into a single, interwoven continuum. This project developed from the artist’s interest in astronomy and the cosmos. The exploration of the cosmos suggests a universe filled with a variety of star clusters, galaxies, and Earth.
