Mini-Grant Program
Howard County is offering a Mini-Grant Program to support organizations in promoting the Howard County Arts & Culture Master Plan. Applicants can pursue funding through one of three distinct pathways: Community Advocate, Community Convener, and Competition Entry.

Pathway One: Community Advocate
Approximately six applicants will receive $150 and a media toolkit to help them promote the plan engagement process to their networks through a minimum of 6 posts over a period of 6 weeks (tracked through tags of the Arts Council).
All Pathway One grantees will receive a unique link to the survey and be automatically enrolled in Pathway Three, with a chance to win a bonus for driving the most survey results.

Pathway Two: Community Convener
Five applicants will receive $750 to help them facilitate a community conversation and provide a report on their findings to the planning team. Grantees will receive a framework for facilitating community conversations, a structure for reporting out on the hosted conversation, and a media toolkit to be utilized to promote the plan engagement process to their network.
The stipend will be distributed in two payments: $150 will be awarded immediately and may be used for perks to drive attendance, such as refreshments and entertainment, and the remaining $600 will be awarded upon report submission and acceptance.
All Pathway Two grantees will receive a unique link to the survey and be automatically enrolled in Pathway Three, with a chance to win a bonus for driving the most survey results.

Pathway Three: Competition Entry
Anyone can enter pathway three without entry into other grant pathways.
Those whose custom URLs are associated with the three highest numbers of survey responses will be awarded $150 (3rd place), $300 (2nd place), and $500 (1st place). Anyone promoting a custom HoCo Arts & Culture Plan URL will be entered into the Pathway Three competition, regardless of participation in other pathways. The custom link can be promoted across social networks through any available means; the link will automatically track anyone who uses it to access the plan survey.
