Fostering and Sustaining a Vital Arts Community by Funding the Arts.
As the primary funder for the arts in Howard County, one of our most important responsibilities is the administration of public and private funds designated to local and regional arts grants. As a steward of these funds, our job is to foster excellence, diversity, and vitality in the arts.
Grant Programs

Artists - Advancing the work of individual artists is critical to developing and sustaining a dynamic arts ecosystem.
-

-
Grants for
Arts Projects - Funding art projects in public and private schools, community organizations, and small businesses helps the arts grow and flourish in our community in unique and engaging ways.
Opportunities for All
Each year, we award nearly $1 million in operating and special project grants to artists, local arts organizations, K-12 schools, key Baltimore City arts and cultural institutions, and others. We are committed to investing grant funds wisely, broadening opportunities in the arts, and encouraging greater public participation in the arts.

Past Awards
Our grant programs help ensure stability and growth in the arts community, build audiences and give community members access to diverse arts experiences, providing opportunities for greater understanding and engagement in the arts.
Grant Review Opportunities
Have expertise in the arts and looking to give back? Become a grant reviewer! An independent artistic review panel reviews and evaluates each grant application. The panel is made up of volunteers who have expertise in various arts disciplines.
