Arts for All is a partnership between Howard County, Maryland, and the Howard County Arts Council. Announced in the spring of 2024, Arts for All will commission permanent, iconic public art installations that will be strategically placed at county facilities and community spaces. Arts for All underscores the role of public art in placemaking, providing spaces for inspiration, reflection, and interaction.

In his FY2025 Operating Budget, County Executive Calvin Ball dedicated $1.5 million to fund up to four public art installations over the next several years. This funding represents a strong commitment to integrating art into public spaces in a meaningful and lasting way.

Arts for All in Elkridge

In his FY2025 Capital Budget, County Executive Calvin Ball announced several impactful investments in the Elkridge community including the creation of a new Elkridge Community and 50+ Center. The proposed 67,000 square-foot facility will feature a gym, a pool, and spaces for older adults. As part of the $25 million budget for the community center, County Executive Ball designated $500,000 to commission a permanent public art installation at the new center through Arts for All.
