Gallery II: In Full Bloom

February 14-March 30

Reception: February 21, 6-8pm

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Blossoms of Hope is presenting a countywide exhibit, In Full Bloom, featuring artwork inspired by the pink and white cherry blossoms of Howard County. In addition, local galleries and organizations throughout the county will also host their own blossoms-inspired exhibitions and receptions, celebrating the Blossoms 2025 event. Gallery I: Youth Art Month

February 14-March 30

Reception: March 5, 5-7pm

Presented through an ongoing partnership between Howard County Public School System and the Arts Council, our annual Youth Art Month exhibit features hundreds of works by HCPSS students in grades K-12 from public school art classes throughout the county.

Gallery I: HoCo Open 2025

December 13-February 1

Reception: January 17, 6-8pm

Our annual salon-style, non-juried exhibit showcasing artwork in a variety of media by Howard County artists. The reception includes live music, refreshments, and the presentation of the Covington Emerging Artist Award. Free & open to the public. Snow date: January 24.

December 13-February 1

Reception: January 17, 6-8pm

The artwork of Cheri Glover, Josef Keyes, and LUSMERLIN will be on view in Gallery II. The reception includes live music, refreshments. Free & open to the public. Snow date: January 24.

Gallery I: Art Maryland 2024

Reception: October 18, 6-8pm

A juried biennial exhibit of regional artists working in a variety of media. this year’s juror is Dr. Kevin Tervala, Chief Curator at Baltimore Museum of Art. Click here for a list of juried artists and Dr. Tervala’s bio. 

Gallery II: A Closer Look

On View: October 11-November 16, 2024

Reception: October 18, 6-8pm

Artists Travis Childers, Jim Doran, Gemma Guiomard, and Emily Tironi playfully explore themes of human nature, societal norms, and identity through small-scale artworks.

Gallery I: Connected Places

August 23-September 28 

Reception: September 20, 6-8pm; in conjunction with HCAC’s Annual Grant Awards Ceremony with resident artist open studios (7-8pm) 

Connected Places will feature multimedia installations by Sylvia Eken and Sarah Stefana Smith. Eken’s installation, TRADING CITIES, seeks communal, cultural, and intellectual impact by encouraging action through visual and textual forms. Smith’s Ten Forms Make A Village is premised on the planned community of Columbia, Maryland, and the challenges of integration, it was said to address.
