Gallery II: A Closer Look

Artists Travis Childers, Jim Doran, Gemma Guiomard, and Emily Tironi playfully explore themes of human nature, societal norms, and identity through small-scale artworks.

Gallery I: Connected Places

August 23-September 28 

Reception: September 20, 6-8pm; in conjunction with HCAC’s Annual Grant Awards Ceremony with resident artist open studios (7-8pm) 

Connected Places will feature multimedia installations by Sylvia Eken and Sarah Stefana Smith. Eken’s installation, TRADING CITIES, seeks communal, cultural, and intellectual impact by encouraging action through visual and textual forms. Smith’s Ten Forms Make A Village is premised on the planned community of Columbia, Maryland, and the challenges of integration, it was said to address.
