Every great series of art work starts with an idea, a question, or a moment of inspiration. But where do you go from there? This workshop is for students who are curious about photography and seek direction in developing their work. With step-by-step support, students will be be guided through the process of imagining, planning, shooting, and presenting a personal photography project, informed by their own creative visions and personal narratives.   In the end, students will curate their images, each ending with a cohesive series that reflects their unique perspective.

Students will learn acrylic painting techniques through studying past masters such as Van Gough, Dali, Marc, Hopper and Picasso.  Each week the class will learn about a different artist and create a project that is inspired by their stylistic techniques.

Each week a new set of materials will be offered for participants to explore and tinker with. The class is designed to help adults and seniors to create freely, and loosen any creative blocks. The focus is on the process as opposed to the product, and will cover collage, sculpture, printmaking and other artforms.
