Steel meets stone in Glenn Zweygardt’s Crimson Ring, and the result is at once bold and refined. Sure to catch the eye of visitors to Howard County Government’s George Howard Building, the sculpture’s combination of natural and man-made materials represents the artist’s relationship with nature, a prevailing theme in Glenn’s work.
Based in Alfred Station, New York, Glenn has been creating outdoor public sculpture for more than 50 years. This is his eighth ARTsites exhibit, and two of his sculptures – Autumn Amber and Basalt Man – were purchased by Howard Community College for permanent display on the campus.
ARTsites 2019 sculptures will be on display through July 2020. Stop by the Center for the Arts to pick up a copy of our new ARTsites brochure or call 410-313-ARTS (2787) to request your copy.
