Juror Bio: Nicole Buckingham Kern
Nicole Buckingham Kern is an artist whose personal studio practice explores the passage of time and ephemerality of memory. Her work has appeared in group and solo exhibitions in the mid-Atlantic region, Georgia, and California. Her work is held in the collections of the Savannah College of Art and Design and University of Maryland University College, as well as in private collections in Maryland and South Carolina.
As a curator, her focus lies in presenting exhibitions on topics that investigate the human condition- from reflections on the inner self to how we impact and relate to others, on individual and societal levels.Currently the Gallery Coordinator at the Community College of Baltimore County, Nicole Buckingham Kern is a graduate of Notre Dame of Maryland University (BA ’03/Studio Art & Art History) and the Savannah College of Art and Design (MFA ’06/Painting).
