Artists, if you’re thinking of applying for the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance’s Baker Artist Awards, you won’t want to miss this opportunity to learn more about the program. Each info session is 90 minutes – 2 hours long and features a presentation by GBCA staff including detailed program overviews and instructions for using the application site. Whenever possible, a past awardee will also be present to offer insight and tips on presenting yourself as an artist and creating a strong portfolio.

The Baker Artist Awards recognize artists in all disciplines from the Baltimore metro region who exemplify a mastery of craft, depth of artistic exploration, and a unique vision. Artists who create a Baker Artist Portfolio are automatically eligible for one of five Baker Artist Awards, which include significant monetary prizes and an exhibition at the Baltimore Museum of Art, as well as a feature on Maryland Public Television’s Artworks program.
