We’re pleased to announce the addition of two new staff members to our team in January:
Miles Warren is our new Education & Programs Assistant. Miles is already a familiar face here at the Center for the Arts, having worked part-time for the Arts Council in various capacities since last summer, including as a camp instructor, a building attendant, and an interim administrator in our office. In his new position, Miles will oversee our summer camp program and administer our year-round schedule of classes and workshops. An illustrator and comic book writer and artist, Miles holds a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts Degree from the Pennsylvania College of Art and Design, where he graduated in May 2021 with a major in Illustration.
Annie Braunschweig has assumed the role of Exhibits & Programs Assistant. She will coordinate HCAC’s exhibits and other visual arts programs and manage the Gallery Shop. Annie is a multidisciplinary artist with a focus in drawing and painting and holds a BFA in Painting and Humanistic Studies from the Maryland Institute College of Art, where she focused on anatomy and literature. Annie has previous nonprofit administration experience from her time at Enoch Pratt Free Library and has also worked as a studio assistant and installer for various independent artists.
Miles and Annie joined us following the departure of Elli Hernandez, who served as Gallery & Programs Coordinator for more than three years. Elli took a position at the Maryland Institute College of Art in November. We wish her well!
