HCAC’s Visual & Performing Arts Camps
June 27 – August 26
School will soon be out, which means it’s time for camp! Don’t wait any longer – give your child a fun and creative summer by registering today for our Visual and Performing Arts Camps.
Choose from nine one-week, full- or half-day sessions for students entering grades K-7. Morning and afternoon extended care is also available.
Here’s a small sampling of our available camps:
Art Comes Alive Onstage!
Session 5, PM: July 25-29, Grades 4-7
Older campers will explore a variety of different works of art by famous artists. They will create characters and story plots based on what they see in the paintings and write and rehearse scenes with other actors. The troupe will make costume accessories and props as well as their own versions of the famous paintings – a perfect blend of acting and art! The week will end with a final virtual performance in the theatre for family and friends.
Bead-a-Palooza
Session 5, AM: July 25-29, Grades K-3
Campers will love this fun and colorful way to express themselves! Not only will campers create their own beads out of different media, they will make jewelry, keychains, and also learn both flat and three-dimensional bead weaving, among other projects.
Little Worlds: Creating Creative Dioramas and Miniature Scenes
Session 3, AM: July 11-15, Grades 4-7
Session 5, AM: July 25-29, Grades 2-5
If your child loves to create their own little world, whether it is a dollhouse or a superhero crime scene, this is the camp for them! Campers will use their imagination and small motor skills to create beautiful dioramas from found objects, paper, glue, and scissors.
Camp registration is available online at hocoarts.org/camp or by phone at 410-313-2787.
