Present your work to organizations seeking artists!

To be considered for review, interested performers must submit a complete application prior to the specified deadline.

The Cultural Arts Showcase application will ask for the following information:

• Contact Information
  • Act/Artist Name
  • Contact Name
  • Address
  • Email
  • Phone 
• Description of Showcase Performance (if applying as a performer), including the number of performers on stage, the nature of your 8-minute presentation, and the number and size of set pieces used.
• Description of Programs offered by the artist(s), program rates, and the age levels served.
• References from two professional contacts.
• Marketing Collaterals including press packets or media kits.
• Work Samples
  • For Performing Artists: DVD, video file, or specific web link to a video sample recorded within the last 3 years. 
  • For Visual Artists: Photographs or digital images in .JPG format of your work from previous workshops/residencies. 
  • For Literary Artists: Physical or digital samples of your work and from your previous workshops/residencies.

Applications are reviewed based on:

• The quality and completeness of the application and application materials.
• Judgement of the review panel regarding quality of the program(s).
• Appropriateness of the program for the majority of the audience.
• Attendee reviews from previous Showcases, if applicable.
• Professionalism of the applicant based on previous experience at Showcase, if applicable.
• For performers: creating a balance between new programs and programs that were performed previously.

Performer Fee: $35 (Fee is non-refundable and does not guarantee that your application is selected.) If selected, includes: eight-minute performance time (plus one-minute set-up and one-minute breakdown), inclusion in the Showcase Directory available to all attendees, a 4ftx6ft display area (see below for display details), and one lunch voucher. Additional lunch vouchers may be purchased for $10/person.

Display Only Fee: $25 (Fee is non-refundable and does not guarantee that your application is selected.) If selected, includes: a 4ftx6ft display area, inclusion in the Showcase Directory available to all attendees, and one lunch voucher. Additional lunch vouchers may be purchased for $10/person. You must provide a table, cables, cords, and any other A/V equipment or set-up materials. HoCo Arts will provide chairs. There are a limited number of spaces with electrical service; early arrival is recommended. Location is not predetermined, and set-up is on a first-come, first-serve basis. The display area must be always accompanied by a representative; you may not set up a table without being present.
