Photo Encaustics Workshop

For all levels of encaustics experience. Explore the easy-to-learn technique of encaustics using hot wax. You will prepare two cradle boards and mount your photos on them. You will learn how to apply wax medium to create a smooth surface giving each image a soft, ethereal surface. Enjoy experimenting with pigment sticks and/or pan pastels on your creations to finish them. Bring at least two 8×10 photos that are printed on matte photo paper or heavy weight matte printer paper. The photos can be black & white or color. Bring a variety of photos so you have a choice to work with. All other supplies are provided.
