Summer is almost here – there’s still time to plan an arts-filled summer for your child by enrolling them in our Visual & Performing Arts Camps! Choose from nine one-week, full- or half-day sessions for students entering grades K-7. Morning and afternoon extended care is also available.
Here’s a small sampling of our available camps:
Connect the World Through Dance
Session 4, PM: July 17-21, Grades 2-5
Learn to express your thoughts and stories through the medium of Indian classical dance. India is a diverse country with various dance styles. Come to explore a few and try your feet at it which may yield another interesting way of communication and connect to your world to “the” world through dance.
Pop-In and Op-In
Session 5, PM: July 24-28, Grades 4-7
Come explore two of the most famous movements in art history! Pop Art, AKA Popular Art, and Op Art, or Optical Art, a form of abstract art using optical illusions. Campers will be inspired by the likes of Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Peter Sedgley, and Yayoi Kusama as they create art and optical illusions with conventional and unconventional materials.
The Storybook Players
Session 9, AM: August 21-25, Grades K-3
Throughout the week, our campers will read a handful of illustrated children’s books and perform adaptations for the stage as well as learn many fun and active theatre games and ensemble building techniques while also making costume pieces so their plays shine on stage even more!
