New Resident Artist: Sherry Jankiewicz
Sherry Jankiewicz is an artist and educator. She holds an MFA in Print Media from Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon. She has taught grades K-12, worked as a teaching artist with lower income students, and consulted on public art projects. While living in Tennessee, she supervised new art teachers and taught art education courses at the University of Tennessee’s Art Education Department. She also volunteered her time as the treasurer of the Tennessee Art Education Association.
Sherry has participated in local and national printmaking exhibitions as well as numerous print exchanges. Originally from Maryland, she moved back to Ellicott City in 2022 where she teaches high school art in Howard County. She spends her time outside of the studio and classroom visiting family, playing with her nephews, and enjoying nature. She is excited to continue her art practice as a Resident Artist at the Center!
